E fusion Books

E fusion Books A new re-definition through experimentation of the classical format of the book is emerging. Consider the now defunct BookTailor. It 'used to adapt the software book especially to travel agents - but this software is to conquer other niches (such as medical and legal professions). It allows users to bits and pieces from a library of electronic books to bring together in one volume of new and print and bind them on request. The customer can also choose to purchase the final product as an e-book. Think about what the firm is not easy to consolidate and old terms such as "original" and "copy", copyright, and book identifiers. What is the "original" in this case? E 'the final, the user customized book - or its sources? And if no customized book is identical to another - what happens to the intuitive notion of "copy"? If BookTailor-books, as the only copy of a copy-and-run? If yes, should each a unique identifier (eg, a unique ISBN)? If the user has the rights in the final product, composed by him? What are the copyrights of authors? Or take BookCrossing.com. At first glance, there is the challenge to established procedures and the publication of the mode concept of intellectual property. States, their books, a BCID (bookcrossing ID number) and then a book, or let it lie for a total stranger to find. Henceforth, fate determines the chain of events. Any subsequent owner of the tape allegedly bookcrossing report (via e-mail) about the book, their place, thus moving plots and mapping the territory of literacy and bibliomania. This innocuous model subversively undermines the concept - legal and moral - of ownership. It expropriates the book from the passive, inert objects and transforms it into a catalyst for human interaction in time and space. In other words, the book retus to its roots: a Time Capsule, a time machine and the embodiment of a historical narrative. E-books, hitherto largely no more than an ephemeral delivery of their print predecessors. But e-books are another medium in general. It can and will be a different experience of reading. Consider "hyperlinks in e-book and without it - to web content, reference works, etc. embedded instant shopping and ordering several links, the user interactive, decision driven plotlines, interaction with other E -Books (via Bluetooth or another wireless standard), collaborative authoring, gaming and community activities, automatically or periodically updated content, multimedia, database, selection and maintenance of history (records of reading habits, habits acquisition, interaction with other readers, plot decisions and many others), automatic and embedded audio conversion capacity and translation, the full piconetworking and scatteetworking wireless capabilities and more.
